Hullabaloo's Director....
Hullabaloo Kids’ Music is written and designed by me, Lucy Rogers. I have a Bachelor of Music and a Bachelor of Arts, with a double major in Sociology & Psychology (Honours). Having worked as both a music teacher and performer, and then in Early Childhood Development at the Royal Childrens Hospital, this role seems like the perfect way to combine my two previous careers into one. Now as a mother of two small children, I am inspired by all the great songs and creative ideas that children love! The program is carefully designed with three primary goals in mind. Firstly, to inspire a love of learning and fun. Secondly, to foster your child's curiosity about music and the world we live in.
Thirdly, the pre-school class aims to equip your child with the fundamentals of music necessary to motivate them to go on and successfully learn an instrument in later life.

Now that Lucy is taking time off to have her third baby,
Fiona has come on board to take over the Newport classes.
Your Teacher - Fiona Sham
Fiona graduated from her Master of Music Therapy from Melbourne University in 2010 and is passionate about working with children. Her manner with the children is patient, gentle and fun, and her singing and guitar playing are excellent. Fiona is an accomplished percussionist, having completed Grade 8 with distinction. She is also a talented pianist and teacher. Over the years she has performed in many choirs and vocal competitions. Most importantly, Fiona has lots of experience teaching groups of children and encouraging their curiosity about, and love for music. Her enthusiasm for children’s learning is evident in her calm yet energised approach with children of all ages. |
